TNS to migrate trading and market data to LSEG data centre

Transaction Network Services (TNS) is to migrate its clients’ trading and market data systems from the existing primary data centre located in the city of London to the new London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) data centre near the Docklands, London.

The new LSEG data centre is fully integrated onto TNS’ leading global network.

LSEG is home to several capital formation and execution venues including the London Stock Exchange, AIM, Turquoise, CurveGlobal, FXall and Tradeweb.

TNS has relocated multiple clients after having secured significant infrastructure capacity in the new data centre and having added the new site to its expansive portfolio of Layer 1 accessible markets.

The Layer 1 switching solution delivers ultra-low latency mutualised market access and network connectivity.

Through leveraging the switching solution, TNS said its’ clients can research, acquire and maintain their exchange connections, data centre space and equipment.

TNS, which brings together over 2800 financial community endpoints, “is helping clients save crucial nanoseconds in the race to execute trades”, according to Jeff Mezger, vice president of product management for TNS’ Financial Markets business.

He added, “We have already deployed the equipment, as opposed to those employing a DIY approach with a kit wait-time of up to a year, due to current global supply chain issues. We are providing a full suite of low-latency services, including order routing and market data access. In addition to procuring, installing, and management of trading infrastructure.”

The managed hosting solution delivers rack-optimised cabling and design utilising the company’s ultra-low latency Layer 1 technology inside the data centre which provides access to execution speeds that are 10 times faster than traditional layer 3 architectures.

TNS Layer 1 does not require multiple switches and delivers connectivity in as little as 5 to 85 nanoseconds, according to the firm’s metrics.

TNS has recently launched a standardised dedicated server offering as part of the deployment of its new cloud platform for financial markets.

Designed for high-performance trading, the product utilises TNS’ bare metal servers, as well as ultra-low latency trading connectivity through TNS Layer 1.
