In addition to these roles he spent five years in the equity business at Goldman Sachs.

D’jelal said, “Proud and excited to be joining LSEG. Really looking forward to meeting colleagues and re-connecting with clients.”

LSEG announced Microsoft was buying a 4% stake in the firm in December 2022 (Microsoft to buy 4% stake in London Stock Exchange (bestexecution.net)) while LSEG made a contractual commitment for minimum cloud-related spend with Microsoft of $2.8 billion over the term of the partnership.

In May 2023, LSEG signed a deal (LSEG signs long-term strategic partnership with Barclays – The DESK – Fixed Income Trading (fi-desk.com) ) with Barclays to provide access to its data, capabilities, workflow solutions and feeds, as well as supporting Barclays in its digitalisation process, cloud adoption and customer platform enhancements.

Barclays was also reported at the time as being in discussion with LSEG and Microsoft to become a member of their Design Partner Programme, which is in the process of being established following the strategic partnership that was announced between the two organisations in December 2022.
