LSEG appoints Adam Wood as global CEO of Turquoise

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has appointed Adam Wood as Turquoise global CEO and head of equities trading commercial proposition, replacing Dr Robert Barnes who left at the end of last year after nine years.

Wood, who will report to LSEG’s CEO Julia Hoggett, will be responsible for running and growing both Turquoise venues in Europe and UK. He will also have oversight of the equities trading commercial proposition.

Wood was previously head of Turquoise Europe and securities trading specialist sales.

Prior to joining Turquoise in January 2019, Wood was director of prime brokerage sales at BCS Global Markets where he was responsible for synthetic prime brokerage and supported financing and trading access to emerging markets.
