Invesco hires Molly Betournay to lead ESG research

Invesco has appointed Molly Betournay as director of ESG research to lead a team of seven research analysts in supporting the firm’s investment teams.

Based in Boston, she will report to  to Glen Yelton, global head of ESG at Invesco.

During her six years at Clean Yield AM, she served as director of social research and advocacy, leading the firm’s ESG research and analysis of public equities.

he also oversaw its proxy voting programme, and designed and implemented long-term shareholder engagement strategies across a range of ESG issues.

Betournay has 19 years of industry experience, with her earlier roles including director of ESG and impact investing at Pathstone, head of US research at Vigeo EIRIS and lead sustainability analyst at Impax Asset Management, formerly Pax World Funds.

“As ESG considerations have become increasingly important to many of our clients, it is important that we have the best resources to support our investment teams and distribution partners,” said Yelton.

He added, “Ms Betournay arrives with an impressive track record and the expertise required to help us meet those client needs and makes an excellent addition to our team.”
