Horizon updates its Extend Platform

Horizon Software, an algorithmic and electronic trading technology solution provider, has updated its cross-asset electronic platform Horizon Extend.

Horizon Extend enables clients to customise pricing modules and hedgers, automate workflows, and create a more transparent and flexible trading environment.

In addition, the platform supports the development of advanced routing rules for direct market access (DMA) and allows clients to manage trading risk and compliance.

In 2023, the company said it plans to expand its Trading-as-a-Service (TasS) offering, increase the number of asset classes covered, and improve its handling of high-volume order flows.

Chief Technology officer Olivier Masdebrieu, said the goal is to offer both a development and trading platform, with a focus on helping clients tailor solutions to their needs.

As part of the expansion of its offering, Horizon has partnered with the brokerage arm of Santander Bank Polska, which became the first introducing market maker for the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) ‘Global Connect’ equity market.

The WSE market has shares from around the world are listed by introducing market makers without approval from the issuer.

Alexandre Chriqui, the client success manager at Horizon Software, said, the Horizon Market Making platform allowed  Santander to go live on the new Global Connect market without any additional development on the front office side.

“The existing platform composed of market data handlers, pricing and quoting automatons, WSE Market Gateway and position management modules were fully leveraged for a seamless integration with Global Connect,” he added.

Horizon is not only building its product range but also bolstered its team.

Last year, Francois-Xavier Detourniere was promoted to the role of head of product management to boost offerings in the APAC region.

Horizon also appointed Fabrice Astrologi as global head of client management. He has 25 years of professional experience and focuses on accelerating the firm’s organic growth.

In addition, Isabelle Dominjon joined the company as a Business Development Manager for EMEA. Her main task is to accelerate Horizon Software’s growth in the region.
