ION Markets launches new compliance SaaS solution

ION Markets has launched a new compliance SaaS solution, derived from the hosted compliance solution the company implemented in 2014.

The product enables real-time oversight of pre-and post-trading, as well as full coverage of asset types, with an automated compliance checking process and investment transparency.

In addition, the solution enables customers to manage exceptions, while defining and maintaining investment rules.

All dashboard, reporting, and management information can be shared across the business.

With increased regulatory change and pressure, and the use of complex asset types as firms enter new markets, Ion says that compliance monitoring and investment transparency are critical.

Asset managers face the challenge of balancing regulatory compliance with rising IT costs and the demand for real-time pre-trade oversight, it adds.

Steven Strange, head of product (asset management) at ION Markets, says: “Investment compliance is fundamental to the asset management process, and any breach can severely compromise both a firm’s finances and its reputation.”

Earlier this year, ION Markets upgraded its connectivity to support Trumid’s attributed trading, a disclosed dealer-to-client negotiation protocol, through the ION Credit solution.

Trumid is a financial technology company and electronic bond trading platform, building differentiated trading solutions for its community of users.
